I'm assuming you are referencing Mullvad in your post. For all others here, remember that a VPN on it's own is never going to be sufficient if you intend to have proper OPSEC. Qubes-Whonix is not that difficult to set up, and if you actually value your freedom and anonymity, it can practically be considered the gold standard.
